Whispering Pines is a residential community of 2,900 in the Sandhills of North Carolina, an area well-known for its mild climate and desirable lifestyle. Whispering Pines residents come from many different places, but they all share a desire to preserve the quiet, tranquil Village environment they enjoy.

Within the Village is a country club which boasts two championship golf courses, a beautiful clubhouse with dining rooms, bar and pro shops, tennis courts and swimming pool. Membership is optional for property owners. The towns of Southern Pines and Pinehurst are within ten minutes drive, offering excellent restaurants, modern shopping plazas, and small quaint specialty shops.

Seven Lakes is a premier residential community nestled among the stately pines and rolling terrain of North Carolina's Sandhills region. Initially conceived in the mid-1970s as a summer home and resort area, prospective buyers quickly recognized its appeal as a year-round residence.  This is partly because of the moderate temperatures and low relative humidity.  Today, the gated community is a well-balanced mix of working parents and active retirees.

Foxfire Village, incorporated in 1977, had its beginnings as a golf resort in the 1960's. Located only two miles west of historic Pinehurst, the Village surrounds two 18 hole championship golf courses and a large equestrian development.

In many ways Foxfire Village, a world nestled under the longleaf and loblolly pines that frame the beautiful homes and spacious home sites, is indeed a contradiction of the fast pace of today's world.

Foxfire has enjoyed a reputation as one of the premiere golfing destinations in the Sandhills area of North Carolina and throughout the southeast. Over the years, countless numbers of passionate golfers, including many famous names, have graced our fairways. Located in an area formerly invovled with the sport of fox hunting, Foxfire offers thirty-six holes of traditional golf designed by renowned golf architect, Gene Hamm. Whether it is the history, the challenge, or the tradition, Foxfire is sure to provide a unique and classic golf experience for anyone who plays here.

Today Aberdeen's population is about 10,800. Their historic district has been refurbished and preserved by the town's citizens. On July 2, 1989, the Aberdeen Historic District was dedicated, and encompasses 88 acres and over 100 historic buildings that were constructed in the late 19th and 20th centuries.

Take a drive down tree-lined streets, where homes built earlier in the century remain unchanged. Enjoy Aberdeen's antique shops in the old hardware building downtown. Bethesda Church - graveyards from late 1700s. At the other end of the spectrum, US Hwy 1 hosts the modern business section where Aberdeen and Southern Pines have grown together. New restaurants, hotels and shopping areas are springing up to answer the needs of both our residents and tourists alike.

Woodlake is conveniently located in the North Carolina Sandhills near the beautiful village of Pinehurst. The town includes the largest man-made lake in the state with world class golf and award-winning dining.

Woodlake is truly a great place to live - a place to enjoy golf, lake activities, and much more! With a subtropical climate and mean temperatures averaging 65 degrees, warm summers and beautiful spring and fall golf seasons are the norm.  In contrast, the winter season is quite short and mild.

Building on over 125 years of rich history and tradition, Southern Pines today is a thriving and diverse community of approximately 12,736 residents and encompassing 16.65 square miles. Located in the southern end of Moore County, NC, Southern Pines is centrally nestled in the Sandhills and within easy driving distance of Charlotte, Fayetteville, and the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill triangle.

Residents are citizens who live within the town limits of Southern Pines, and they are entitled to all of the town's services and programs for free or at  “resident” rates, such as the summer camps offered by our Recreation and Parks Department or a library card for the Southern Pines Public Library. The town also provides utilities, public works, police and fire services, and municipal oversight to the areas where residents live.

Pinehurst

Pinehurst has survived, virtually unchanged, for over 100 years. Nearly all of the Pinehurst's original cottages remain, either through meticulous maintenance or restoration. While the original ambiance of "Old Town Pinehurst" has been retained, the village has grown. Today it is a town of over 10,000 residents, with newer neighborhoods that capture the personality of Old Town. While golf is a way of life in Pinehurst, it boasts a superb tennis club and lovely Lake Pinehurst for water activities. Each are complimented with superb real estate at prices that will pleasantly surprise you.

A total of forty-two golf courses can be found in Pinehurst and the surrounding areas, offering an abundance of outstanding golf properties on fairways. And if you don't live on a fairway in Pinehurst, you are a short golf cart drive from one. Lots and home sites for new construction are available throughout the area. Lake Pinehurst, likewise, offers choice waterfront homes and home sites. Pinehurst ranks among the top few places in the eastern United States for quality golf courses, quality golf communities, quality weather and quality of life.

The Fayetteville area has played key roles during defining moments in America's history. The Liberty Point Resolve of 1775 pledged local support for the Revolutionary War cause for independence from England while Scottish heroine Flora MacDonald rallied for the loyalist cause. After the Revolution, with no permanent state capital, the North Carolina legislature periodically met here. In 1789, at a meeting in Fayetteville, the legislature ratified the U.S. Constitution and chartered the University of North Carolina, America's oldest state university.

As the unofficial home of the U.S. Army, there are few communities in the world who can compete with the military history and tradition of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. From the Revolutionary War to today, we have been home to the soldiers who protect and serve our country. For those who appreciate and admire military life and technology, Fayetteville/Cumberland County is the ideal destination. Here you can take an once-in-a-lifetime tour of Fort Bragg, attend a XVIII Airborne Corps Capabilities Briefing with your group or host the ultimate military reunion.
